Let The Right One In

My friend texted me few days back asking my opinion on what bag and shoe should she get for her 'hantaran'. Her budget is quite high so its not a problem to choose when money isn't in the way. Ahh ... don't we all wish this too?

I suggested her to get a classic designer bag. It is really the only way to go (from my point of view) than buying 'It Bags' which are seasonal. 'It Bags' come and go. But boy was i wrong. Certain 'It Bags' has proven their staying power than being just seasonal arm candy.

For example, the YSL Muse. The bag debuted in 2006 and has seen many different incarnations since then. It became an instant favourite and now with its staying power, it has become an iconic bag. The label brings out the bag in many different version every season. You can find the bag in topaz, magenta and red whiskey. And in different skins such as ostrich, snake and croc skin!

I asked her to choose a spacious bag rather than tiny ones (but i simply cannot help myself - i have to point out the Bottega clutch because well hello, it is to-die-for!). I still remember last year being at the GLAM magazine anniversary event, Mia and myself saw someone clutching that purse and we both cried in unison "Soooo painstakingly beautiful!". Damn that beautiful tiny thing! *saving each cents i have starting now*

My friend is going bag-hunting tomorrow with her fiancee. I hope she chooses the right one, in the right material and sizing which i think is truly crucial in choosing bags. Especially if you're getting a Chanel. I'll let you guys know in September which bag she got for the 'hantaran'. Until then, let us wish her for a smooth preparation. I know she's super stressed out (nobody said being a bridezilla is easy, sigh) so i hope the bag and the shoes will cheer her up!

Hair Issue

Its true what they say, absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Saw E yesterday after a month of not seeing each other. We stopped speaking for 2 weeks and when we started talking to each other again, we couldn't stop texting each other! I miss him tremendously during our time apart. And now that its all routine again, it feels so good. No, it feels great.

But, what wasn't great was his new hairdo! Im not used seeing him with his hair that short. I've always preferred his shaggy hairdo than other type of hairdos. And definitely not this Scott Disick-ish hair. Left and right, most of the boys i know currently are sporting Disick's hairdo. Ugh!

I don't know if its just me, but Disick creepily reminds me of Patrick Bateman! The haircut, the clothes, their impeccable fashion sense, the flawless face, the suave, ... EVERYTHING screams Bateman! Im thinking he is probably Disick's idol or something righttt?

Blaze-r Me Up!

Because i don't write that much anymore, i thought of turning this blog into a WIWT kind of blog. The thought of leaving the blog for good is just sad, so i must do something to make sure its alive.

I have been writing a lot, but mostly i keep it to myself. My daily ramblings are all over my laptop. I can write more personal stuff that way which i can't do here obviously. So yes, WIWT type of blog means less writing and more photos (i don't even have a proper camera) and i've to experiment more with my clothes and accessories rather than buying just blouses and jackets. I am turning into a boring person, i know. Sheesh!

But jackets! I am really addicted to jackets and blazers! Especially proper fitted ones, handsome colorful blazers, the fully beaded ones, ah you name it as long as it's a jacket im sure to fall in love with it.

Chair is my favourite pair of all time. Sorry Rick and Ilsa! I can't stand Serena. I don't know why but she comes off as err, slutty to me. No offense to all the Serena fans out there. Its just a character, chill!

Besides Chair, the thing that i focus the most when i watch Gossip Girl is Lily. She is one fine classy lady. Always dressing to impress. Modest (in their sense) at times, she plays a lot with bold statement accessories. Her hair is always perfectly coiffed and she doesn't wear too much makeup which is a good thing.

Ummm that last photo, i dont fancy it much. I can't find anymore good photos of her. Tried googling everywhere. These are the only few i fancy. I hope when i am 40 i will be like this. 

I hope. But nah, i am only 25 now and my fashion sense is beginning to head down towards the drain. I don't know why but im not as adventurous as before. I think i know why, but i won't blog it down here. 

I need to find myself back again. 

Choo Shoes

I am always inspired by the tales of rags to riches.

I am always inspired by how these people struggled madly in the beginning and look at them now, they can finally say they've made it.

So many example cases for this. Like Genghis Khan. He was homeless! Imagine that? A homeless guy who went on to create the largest empire in history! And you guys don't know how many times i cried watching Will Smith's The Pursuit of Happyness. I truly believe with determination and hard work, anything is possible!

Im writing this because i am amazed with our very own Dato Jimmy Choo! If you dont know the guy you're probably insane.

He was born in Penang and worked as a cleaner in a shoe factory and worked part time in restaurants to pay off his college education - he cleaned the toilets and swept the floors! He had to do a lot of things to be where he is now. He was featured in an 8 page spread in Vogue but sales was still poor until Princess Diana became one of his regulars. Then Tamara Mellon (daughter of Vidal Sassoon's empire co-founder) bought the company and both of them owned each 50% of the company.

But what bothers me the most if that, what. went. wrong? Why did he sell Jimmy Choo? All of his shares? I don't understand.  What made him do that? I can't imagine building Addara from scratch but not own it. He must be regretting the decision that he made that day. I cannot imagine him seeing his brand grow but not be a part of it, at all. He can't even use his own name. This is just sad.

He sold his part for £10 million. Had he waited and held on to his 50%, he could've gone off with RM350 million today. The company is now worth RM700 million.

I truly hope one day a miracle will happen and that he'll get to use his name back. *crossing fingers for him*

That aside, i know i've not been blogging that much lately. So many things on my mind and many things to be done i dont feel like writing. But i miss writing so this is why you're reading this entry right now ...

Business is doing great alhamdulillah. I am so happy with it and im planning to bring in more things for Addara. Raya is getting near. Need to bring in more gorgeous kaftans and tunics for my lovely customers. That said, Raya dah nak dekat puasa belum ganti lagi! Ishhhhhhhhhhhhh. Nak kena ganti secepat mungkin nih.

Malam tadi tengok Mentor my oh my im so in love with Erra Fazira's canary yellow dress. The color, the cut, the fabric ... everything about that dress cantik sangat! Now i understand why Reena insisted on a yellow wedding. The color, kalau kena dengan material, beadings and cutting ... pendek kata kalau kena gaya memang cantik dan meletup! Plus, tak banyak orang pakai. Asyik white here white there white white white bosaaaaan lah! Dah Google photo dress tu but takda. Nak tunjuk dekat Reena, sighhh. Ziana Zain pun cantik sangat! I so envy these celebs, with babies but still ada a-to-die-for body figure.

Speaking about all things pretty, i am so in love with Nurita Harith and Alia Bastamam's latest collection! If only i have alot of extra moolah to splurge i would definitely get myself one or two things from their collection. We have so many talented designers here in Malaysia its amazing! I love Nurita Harith, Rizman Ruzaini, Alia Bastamam and Syomir Izwa. And im always excited to see their latest collection because its always oh so pretty!

Nak kena save duit nak kawin kalau nak baju designer kesukaan. Misi bermula in June. Harap berjaya.

I am seeing more and more of vivid lips in a lot of Spring campaigns and i am very tempted to try it out.  What do you people think? Yay or nay?

So Many Events, So Little Clothes!

Baju kurung semua dah pakai. Invitation kenduri sana sini. Adoi. Baju suitable nak pakai dengan tudung pun dah kurang. Need to stock-up more clothes! Tapi sejak gemok ni dah malas dah pakai jeans. Asyik pakai jeggings or long sarong/skirt. Tengok orang pakai maxi dress nampak cantik like this girl ... but i have none yang suitable nak pakai keluar lepak. If maxi dress suitable untuk ke kenduri macamtu ada lah, sighhh ...

Oh besides nak stock-up maxi dress. I seriously nak this one Maysaa pants. Perfect color and perfect cut! Soon i shall, yes soon insyaallah. Nak post the photo i cant i dont know why but checkout Maysaa website under the 'Trousers' section ya and you'll find it, the one and only there.

And i am crazyyyyy about FitFlops now! Memang suitable sangat untuk orang gemok malas like me! Hahaha

So many types to choose from the brand and it aint cheap! But its an investment in my opinion. Plus i read so many good reviews about this sandal. So i guess its worth the price, no?

Crazy/Beautiful

Two gorgeous ladies donning two gorgeous dresses! The one Olivia wore reminds me of a baju kurung made by Rizman Ruzaini some time ago. It was gorgeous but looking at Olivia's Marchesa dress it made my heart stop a beat! Lagi cantik! Wedding dress inspiration anyone? Hehe and how often do you see Miss Jolie wearing something that is not black? The emerald green dress was perfect! It matches her eye color dont you think so?

That aside, i am a Virgo now can you believe it? I blame it all on the new 13th zodiac sign, Ophiuchus (pronounced "O-pee-u-kus"). I miss being a Libra! Damnit. I miss where every month i'll check-out what Libra reads in Cleo magazine. Sekarang kena baca Virgo lah, ishhhhhhhhh ...

Fashion Turbans

Fashion turbans have been around for awhile. And i dont know why lately ni i am so into this look! I have never tried wearing it ... yet but i hope soon when there's a proper outfit and place for it.

I think its chic and different, and it'll make you stand out from the crowd. Thats what we go for whenever we're dressing up right? Bosan lah if everyone pakai the same thing. I like big bulky ones like the ones on top, not the tight tight ones.

Sekarang these fashion turbans dah ada ready-made. I think i saw a few in F21 some time ago. Or if you have a lovely scarf in your collection, why not learn to tie it yourself? Im sure Youtube ada few videos that can teach you how to.

Couture And Gossip Girl

Wasnt feeling the Lanvin collection for H&M but changed my mind when i saw these couture dresses. Oh my. But why via bidding only? Hmphhhhh! So unfair! :/

Im loving the first couture dress. Bright yellow color lepas tu pair it up dengan kasut tu, im so feeling it! And the fourth couture dress too. I have always, always, always suka feathered skirts! Pair it up with a handsome boyfriend blazer, and voilà!, you're good to go!

Bila tengok all these pretty dresses rasa macam nak buat another event pulak before the year ends. I have Chuck Bass' Saints And Sinners party in mind. Because i already have a perfect maxi dress! Ha ha. And because i am crazy about Gossip Girl, duh! Or should i do a 'Blair Headband' party as an excuse to get my hands on those pretty Sereni & Shentel's headbands? Im feeling Kuching Cat and Bow Down. Heck, even my sister wants one ( ... or two, or three).
