My boyfriend is being extra nice lately. Like your-wish-is-my-command nice.
And when im hungry in the middle of the night, he's like Santa. Minus the gifts, pile on the glorious food. And he has to cross the bridge to come all the way here. He lives 23km away from me (i Googlemap this, no kidding)! I cant imaging moving my ass in the middle of the night just to do this. He brought me tons of his mom's cooking on Eid Adha. The mom is a great cook. Oh dear i am salivating right now. Enough on the food.
He's amazing and i am so grateful. And he needs a haircut. Haha.
Im going down to KL to meet-up with my girlfriends this weekend for Intan's birthday dins. And few birthdays on the row, i am in charge of ordering the wedding cake. You see, we love our cakes. Anything sweet. Desserts are good. No Secret Recipe cake for us, no offense. Its too easy. So we like to try new things. We had an amazing red velvet cake from That Last Slice on Sazzy's birthday. It was so good i tell ya. Habib called me few days after asking me to order 3 cakes for him. Thats how good it is. So i asked Intan what cake and i gave her few options ... she chose the rainbow cake.
You see of course i want to order from That Last Slice again. But its so far and with bestie and Sazzy being working girls now, i dont think we can afford going all the way to Shah Alam just for the cake. So i have put an order with another well-known bakergirls. They've got so many good reviews and i cant just wait to get my hands on them!

Last Weekend In KL - Part I
Last week i went to KL for my friend's birthday. I was the one yang suggested it and i woke up late that day. Siap 2 jam. By the time i was done with everything it was 5ish pm so i went to the bus station because flight lambat. I missed the earlier flight. So i thought naik bus pun sampai sama time dengan naik flight plus flight nak kena take a cab to The Curve lagi. Tapi busssss takda! I had to wait until 7pm. And around 8.30pm i was still on the bridge, stuck because of the massive jam as it was Friday. Great time planning Melissa.
I was annoyed but im all to blame. Around 9ish i got a text from someone ... "Best naik bus?". Made me laughed. Habib told me to tell 'abang bus' i have a party to attend to and that i was in a hurry. Yeah right, like he gives a shit. He was really getting on my nerves this guy. Telling that they all were having fun there bla bla bla and i finally got there around 12.30am. Everyone was done with the food and they left me half of the cake. Nasib baik! I really wanted to try the famous rvc from That Last Slice, nasib baik in the end dapat jugak. It was so good, just perfect. Im getting it again next week for my birthday. This time, the large size. Yes its that good i tell ya!
We took few photos, gossip here and there and went back to our hotel. The room was pretty and the bed and pillows are super comfyyyyy. The birthday girl and i woke up nearly 4pm the next day. That night the girls made plan to have drinks and chit chat somewhere and i wasnt in the mood to go out (phone died, customer went nuts, loads of work to do) so i stayed in. Wani came and parked the car downstairs next to the hotel (it was very, very near) and came up for about 30mins then they left. I thought i was going to die of boredom but lucky me, one of my favourite old movies was on that night. I love TV2 for showing movies like this every Saturday night. That night it was 'An Affair To Remember'. I watched and worked at the same time and since my phone died that morning i tweet Intan asking their whereabouts but before that i saw Intan's Facebook page - she checked in at a nearby police station. Time tu tak sedar lagi. Then she told me kereta Wani kena pecah i was like WTF? I thought they were having fun kat mana dah tengok tengok tak sempat p for coffee pun.
We're guessing the thief saw Wani time dia buka boot tu and thought dia ada valuable things inside kot. Luckily i told Wani i wanted to use her laptop kalau tak taktau lah dengan laptop sekali gone. Tapi penyangak tu tak dapat apa pun, 2 bag of clothes. Padan muka. Bodoh gila. Nasib baik bangla construction dekat tepi tu managed to get his plate number, type and car color. But his attempt was quite funny by what i was told. Please take note that this conversation between my friend and him teramat jauh. Dia dekat atas crane godknows how feet above and my friend waaaay dekat bawah. Both had to scream to make themselves clear.
B: W-R-YAY!
Wani: W-R-J?
B: No, W-R-YAY!! YUNNANI
Wani: YAY? W-R-WHY?
Repeat till you're tired. HAHAHAHA. Double yew-are-yay equals to WRJ. Nasib baik lah bangla ni nampak boleh lah jugak buat report polis (but until now no news from the station). Dekat penyangak yang sangap gila nak kena curi baju baju orang, have fun getting all dolled up in those clothes you idiot.
The next day we went to Ida's house for a potluck party. Makanan banyak gila! Semua sedap and we played Charade! Oh so funnnnn! My team won! *blows nail*
Cant wait for our next Charade session next week! Dinner and Charade with the girls. For my birthdaaay! Another joint birthday party with bff, hoyeah! And dont laugh, semalam sebab bosan nak mampos i made this. HAHAHA.
You know you love me! XOXO
PS: More photos soon! I looked like a bag lady, you've been warned

Okay i missed blogging on two major things ... the royal wedding and Mother's day!
Everyone i know had their eyes glued on the tv to watch the royal wedding and most people already blogged about it so i dont really feel like there's anything left to say but since i am a part of *ahem* thejakun excited people who saw history in the making (i wasnt too small to take part in Princess Diana's wedding) i feel like i had to say something even if i dont want to, get what i mean? You know to look back in 30-40 years time and tell my kids i watched the whole thing went down, that sort of thing ...
So here goes ...
I dislike Kate Middleton's (who is now the Duchess of Cambridge) dresses; the first and the second one. There is no wow factor, at all. To me its just a plain, typical white lace dress. Andddddddd i cant believe she did her own makeup. Say it with me now, "Oh my goodnesssssssssssss!". What was she thinking? Thank God she is pretty with little makeup. But i applaud Kate's effort on making her wedding gown ... simple and 'decent'. From the wedding, i see that Kate is a simple girl showing us that she wants nothing but simplicity in her wedding and in her life which i doubt she'll succeed since she is married to the second in line to the throne. Sorry Kate!
Speaking of Prince William, my jaw dropped hard when i saw him! Balding, sad. Why oh why? Dont they have Yun Nam or something there? With all the money in the world he cant even save his own hair, its sad. He used to be cute. Whatever happened to him? But we're lucky we still have Harry to drool over.

I like Kate's sister's dress. And Lady Kitty Spencer and Victoria Beckham, i love you two! Effortlessly chic! And David Beckham you looked ............................................................... HOT HOT HOT!!!
I wonder how can Victoria walk on those crazyyy shoes? Mengandung pakai kasut tinggi gila dah lah heels so awfully thin, i really look up to her in that department.
Enough on the royal wedding. As we all know, yesterday was Mom's Day. I bought my mother a card. But i was ashamed of my own writing so i didnt send it to her. I have the writing of 5 year old. My friend laughed cause "your writing is as little as you" they say. Hmpphh.
Its the thoughts that matters right mummy? *cough* I'll get you something nice for your birthday instead.
Happy Mother's Day mummy. Thank you for being an amazing mom for the three of us. Thank you for always being there through ups and downs ... no matter how many times we screw up, no matter how many times you hate us, in the end you're always there for us. You're my idol and i hope to be like you when i have my own kids. I hope i have your patience, your strength, your brain, your weight, your love for cleaning, your ability in saving money, your spirit and your kindness.
I love youuuuuuuuu tons! x

Bliss
Blogging from Intan's hotel room, the Impiana in Ipoh.
Bestie is sleeping. The others are playing cards. Kanye's All Of The Lights is on repeat mode. The song is wicked! I had an awesome weekend. Back to reality tomorrow, sobs.
I was in KL on Tuesday for the GLAM Great Escape event to celebrate GLAM magazine 7th anniversary. Everyone was so gorgeous i cant stop being "oh wow" and "damn shes hot" all the wayyy. I went with Mia, just the two of us. We made some friends there. Took photos with models/celebs/socialites. Chit-chatted with Marion Caunter for about 10 mins or so. She was real nice and friendly. Tanned and real pretty too. Couldnt stop staring at her gigantic ring. She is one lucky girl!
The GLAM magazine is doing an exhibition that includes spreads taken over the past 7 years. Pretty photos i tell you. You can checkout the photos of all the memorable and beautiful shoots at The Gardens Mall.
I saw Vivy Yusof (with her bestie Toots, Dean and Asma') and Mia Suraya there. Both so petite and pretty. Deborah Henry is drop dead gorgeous i swear. I hope Mia uploads the photos in the camera soon. I have so little of 'em. Oh btw, i finally wore my fuchsia Stage lipstick. I am so in love with the color. Wish i could wear it on a daily basis!
On Thursday i went to La Bodega for dinner with Intan, her boyfriend and Fathul. I had creme bruleeeeee so velvety and sinful and bought red velvet cupcakes from Whisk. Intan bought like 20 tiny macaroons. I loved the rose and red velvet ones! But they were too tiny and at RM2 a pop. The RVCs was lovely but i still prefer the ones from Just Heavenly. The four of us ate like mad cows. Too much good fooddd i tell you. I always ... alwaysss love my stays in KL because i get to eat all the good food here that isnt in Penang. I stayed at Intan for 4 days and i thank her for being such a good friend. She bought me lunch while Ida made me breakfast in bed haha i feel sad that i had to leave her place. But i had to force myself out of the house before they kick me out. LOL.
All of us came to Ipoh yesterday because we got invited to Jay's house for the family's kenduri kesyukuran. Went for Red Riding Hood with bestie and Ida. It was an okay movie. Henry is too cute for words! Can i have him as my second husband pretty please? Okay i just googled. He is Max Irons in real life.
I went into a petshop and i saw this cute Pomeranian. I cant stop thinking about her. Shes the cutest! And shes so smart and friendly too. Its so sad that i cant have her. And please ignore my ugly face i was too tired to put on anything on my face.
I had my first keli earlier with air asam at the kenduri. It was okay but we a saw few live huge ones at the back of his house i almost pukeddd out my lunch. They're scary and ugly. Bestie and i are very jakun people we kept bugging Jay to give the kelis their food but they were too smart they hid down under (pool was deep). They can tell bestie and i were up to no good. What was i thinking to eat keli? I am always disgusted at them. I guess i was too hungry? Or was i feeling adventurous just now? Bestie said "Melissa nampak macam Western tak sangka pulak dok makan semua benda benda macamni". We all laughed!
I am a kampung girl at heart. And a girl with a weird taste for food. I dont eat chicken chop or steak, or anything 'Western' in the cafes, i eat sambal belacan, cencaluk and budu, i only eat green colored fruits like green grapes and apples (weird much?) ... yes i am weird and kampung on the inside, so what right?
After the amazing food session i went back to bestie's house for a short nap and came after Isyak to Intan's hotel for dinner. And now we're all lazing around in the room because of too much of good food for the past few days ...
Im going to miss my friends' company. Seeing them again on the weekend for Nadya's engagement. Okay i am so sleepy now. I need to take the first bus home tomorrow. Goodnight readers. Will write more soon, insyaallah.

Fun Funn Funnn Weekend!
Had an awesome weekend with my bestest people in KL.
Selina's birthday dinner was on Friday at Werner's. I had a really great time chit-chatting. I loved the company! The food was so-so but it didnt matter because my friends made up for it. I had a spaghetti with few giant prawns. The prawns was alright but i ended up giving most to my friends because of my allergies. I loved bestie's spaghetti. Moist, nice and the taste was alright. But Didi ended up finishing hers. And i tried smoked duck for the first time. Can you say euwwww? Weird taste. Definitely not going to try it anytime soon. Oh i wore a cream blouse with the harem pants. First time wearing a harem pants. Haha. I looked like a female Ali Baba. Wish i was taller, sighhhhhh. 3 of the girls wore long dress. Unplanned but yes all matchy matchy that night. I went for the pale eyes and blood red lips look for that night. Its been so long since i had that red of a lipstick on my lips. And it felt great! I should wear that color more.
Selina bought her birthday cakes from Bisou! Our one and only favourite place to get cakes from. If you've never tried Bisou cakes before, trust me ... you're missing out on something real good! And oh, us girls bought her a smexay Minkpink dress from Thepoplook.com and glad she loved it! Nasib baik muat, phewwww ...
No photos of me and Didi. Sad! And not much photos of Sazzy either. We were too busy with our food!
Had lunch at Twentyone on Saturday. Lunch was good. Had my smoked salmon fettuccini. Went for Lat on Saturday. Please dont ask me how was it cause it'll piss me off seriously. Later on that night, i stayed alone in the room trying to focus on Black Swan but failed miserably while the others went to Sky Bar and came back crazy nuts. Oh, we stayed dekat Impiana KLCC. Because bestie suka sangat hotel tu so i cant say no. Kasi chance lah so we stayed there. Mia too. But too bad no photos with Mia. Asyik lupa, sighhhh. Oh, time sampai tu bestie dok golek sana golek sini macam actress Hindustan atas katil reminiscing apa ke benda tah and before we left to Istana Budaya she noticed her gold bracelet hilang. Terus hilang mood. I dont want to laugh but its funny seriously. And sampai balik pun tak jumpa. Her boyfriend gave it to her. And shes really scared to tell him. Hope all goes well with her explaining how, who, what, where, when to him.
I went to Teh's house on Sunday. The house ... masyaallah super gorgeous the view. We had the chance to catch David Coulthard doing what hes good at in front of Fahrenheit 88 dekat the balcony via teropong HAHAHAHA. Jalan dekat Bukit Bintang semua tutup that day for the first time in history for the Red Bull Speed Street. I honestly never thought car race/racer can be that sexay. Okay, enough on that. Pavilion Residences is a must buy house if you have the dough (in this case you must be a million or billionaire lah cause the house itself worth millions). Celik mata boleh jalan kaki downstairs to Pavilion. Sapa tak nak? Its even better than staying JW Marriot with Starhill in it. They're such lucky people dont you think so?
